Around the League: 12.07.08

Sunday's game:

Stony Brook 95, Mount Ida College 40
No matter who the opponents (Division III or otherwise), the fact that Stony Brook has won four games in a row is quite the accomplishment. Especially out of conference. The last time the Seawolves have won four or more in a row is when they strung together six-straight victories in 2002-03 (when they went 13-16). Muhammad El-Amin netted a game-high 22 points (18 in the first half) while Bryan Dougher and Jonathan Moore both added 12. It was El-Amin who was most impressive, however, as he went 8-of-9 from the field, including connecting on all four of his 3-point attempts. Johrone Bunch scored 12 to lead the Mustangs.

Monday's games:
Albany vs. Lehigh, 7:00 p.m.
Colgate vs. Maine, 7:00 p.m.

The 'wolves have an impressive group of freshmen. If this group stays healthy and remains at SBU they should finally be a contender in the league.
